Well here it is the 2016 Corn Maze aerial photo-IHR thanks Ryan Cool of "75 Drone" that came out and took our photo. It has an animals of the Rainforest theme, and offers 22 game stations hidden in the maze. Find all hints to complete your game sheet and conquer the maze in record time to win a season pass! There is also a "mini" maze for the less adventurous (and kids) that is not connected to the big maze. For more details and information click here.
The corn maze is free with your Ranch admission Fri-Sun noon til 6pm. Special Flashlight nights (Fri and Sat) start Sept 9th and run through the end of the season. Get your group together and plan a visit to the Ranch soon!
Babies everywhere! The Ranch now has a baby lamb born July 10th, 4 more baby piglets born July 14th, baby peacocks hatched week of July 7th, and a baby muntjac deer born July 13th! Come on out and see all the new animals.

IHR is now open for the 2016 season. Look for numerous changes and upgrades, such as:
We now have North American River Otters!
Adele, the pot bellied pig had 4 piglets on June 12th!
We now have a red ruft lemur
The coyote pen has been moved
There are now three new miniature cows which are available anytime for offsite petting zoos.
Mimsy, the coatimundi, has a new exibit

Have to share this one...The other day at the Ranch, I noticed a little boy walking, pouting with his head down.
So I ask, "What's wrong sonny?"
He replies dejectedly, "I wanted to see your dinosaurs and we can't find them......"
He was truly disappointed.

It's our latest, greatest activity- Introducing the Idle-Hour Ranch Mining Company! The kids love this fun and educational experience as they "pan" for real gems and minerals. The mining sluice is up and fully operational, you have got to see it!
Troy’s latest attraction in Agricultural Entertainment is now open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays 12n - 6pm, June through October. This family owned and operated agricultural facility is dedicated to providing a fun and educational atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Note: Food to hand feed the animals is available for purchase at our feed table. The animals will love you for it!
We will use this section to let you know if we ever have to shut down for severe weather or any other emergency- just be sure to check here for news on our status before you drive out- especially if the weather is questionable. We will make every effort to be open every weekend.
A special note to Grandparents:
Make this your "special thing" to do with the grandkids- A lot of Grandparents have found this is a great activity to do with their grandchildren, when they get tired of McDonald's Playland.
As a matter of fact- Enter our 2016 photo contest! Best photos will be displayed and author will get a free family pass to the Ranch. Just e-mail your favorite photo to email@example.com. Only two photos per author please. Of course all photo entries become the property of IHR and can be used in any advertising.
We have received lots of good comments about our Goatwalk- the children really love watching the goats run up the ramps to eat. Come see it for yourself- there is nothing like it anywhere else!

The North American Farmer’s Direct Marketing Association defines Agricultural Tourism as “the act of visiting a working farm or any agricultural, horticultural or agribusiness operation for the purpose of enjoyment, education, or active involvement in the activities of the farm or operation.
