To better see and touch Sam- we built a shaded observation deck.  Once you climb up the stairs and you are at eye level with Sam- you can now feed him his favorite snack of wheat bread which is always available at our feed table.  Watch out for that long eight inch tongue!  It will slurp you if you are not watching.  Getting your picture taken with him is the best- Don't forget your camera!  Don't hesitate to "Kiss A Giraffe" - You can't do that anywhere else.

Sam will stay with you as long as you stay near- he won't run off- unless he sees more bread elsewhere- but he will soon be back. All our animals want to see you as much as you want to see them.  How great is that!
